Brian Tracy on Time Management for Salespeople
2026-01-27 · 11 min
Brian Tracy says time management is really just life management, and for salespeople that comes down to one thing: figure out the twenty percent of activities driving eighty percent of your results, usually prospecting, presenting, and following up, and guard time for those before anything else gets to it.
Plan the Night Before
Tracy’s habit is to plan tomorrow tonight. Write down your top priorities and start the day with the most important one. When you protect your best hours for your best work, your output climbs without you working more hours.
Batch and Block
Group similar work together, calls with calls, emails with emails, prep with prep, so you are not constantly switching gears. Every switch costs you focus. It is the same discipline we keep hitting on the show: small systems, big results.
